Description
A rich, creamy garlic Parmesan sauce ready in just 15 minutes. Perfect for pastas, roasted veggies, or dipping—easy to make and full of bold, cheesy flavor.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, not browned.
2. Sprinkle in the flour and whisk continuously for about a minute to make a roux.
3. Gradually pour in the milk while whisking, followed by the cream. Stir until it thickens, around 3-4 minutes.
4. Lower the heat and add Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted and smooth.
5. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Adjust to taste.
6. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for best texture and flavor.
Add a splash of milk when reheating to restore creaminess.
Try with pasta, grilled chicken, or as a pizza base.
