Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 cups thinly sliced apples

1 tablespoon lemon juice


Instructions

1. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

2. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients to form a soft dough.

6. Spread two-thirds of the dough into a greased or parchment-lined baking pan.
