Description
Soft biscuit dough wrapped around warm, spiced apples and baked to golden perfection—these Apple Caramel Bombs are finished with a rich caramel drizzle that melts right into every bite. Perfect for cozy desserts, quick party treats, or a sweet morning indulgence.
Ingredients
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1/4 teaspoon sea salt (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
1. Peel, core, and dice your apples into small chunks. Toss them in a bowl with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using). Set aside to let the flavors meld.
2. Flatten each biscuit dough piece into a small circle. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each dough round. Pinch the edges together to seal and form a ball.
3. Place the sealed dough balls seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush each one with melted butter. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
4. While still warm, drizzle each bomb generously with caramel sauce. Let the sauce soak in slightly before serving.
5. Optionally, sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt for contrast. Serve warm as-is or with a scoop of ice cream.
Notes
Make sure to seal the dough tightly to prevent leaks.
Use Granny Smith apples for tartness or Honeycrisp for sweetness.
Drizzle extra caramel or add ice cream for serving flair.
