Ingredients
12 oz linguine
2 large chicken breasts
3 tablespoons butter (divided)
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter.
3. Sear chicken on both sides until golden and cooked through (about 6–7 minutes per side). Remove and let rest.
4. Cook linguine in salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1 cup pasta water.
5. In the same skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
6. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
7. Stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, mixing until smooth.
8. Add cooked linguine and toss to coat, adding pasta water as needed.
9. Slice the rested chicken and place on top of the pasta.
10. Serve hot with additional Parmesan, if desired.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
Let chicken rest before slicing to keep it juicy.
Add a splash of pasta water gradually to control sauce consistency.
