Description

Creamy Velveeta Chicken Bowtie Pasta with Mozzarella Garlic Sauce is the ultimate comfort food for busy weeknights. This easy cheesy pasta recipe with chicken, garlic, and a luscious sauce is perfect for family dinners. Velveeta bowtie pasta with mozzarella is a creamy pasta dish you’ll want to make again and again.

Ingredients

8 oz bowtie pasta

1 lb chicken breast or thighs

8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup heavy cream

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp butter

to taste salt

to taste black pepper

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Cook until golden and fully cooked, about 5–7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.

4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.

5. Add the Velveeta and stir until fully melted. Then stir in mozzarella until the sauce is creamy and smooth.

6. Return chicken to the skillet, then add pasta. Mix well until pasta is coated in sauce.

7. If needed, add a splash of pasta water to loosen the sauce.

8. Serve hot with extra mozzarella or parsley if desired.

Notes

Always cook pasta al dente to prevent mushiness.

Use low heat when melting cheese to avoid grainy texture.

For added depth, season chicken with garlic powder or Italian herbs.
