Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 large egg
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2. In another bowl, whisk the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir gently; a few lumps are fine.
4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
5. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and butter lightly.
6. Pour 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form and edges are set, about 2–3 minutes.
7. Flip and cook for another 1–2 minutes until golden.
8. Serve warm with toppings like syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.
Notes
Use mini chocolate chips for more even distribution.
Don’t overmix the batter—lumps are okay.
Freeze extras between parchment for easy reheating.
