Description

This Chocolate Toffee Trifle is a show-stopping dessert layered with moist chocolate cake, rich pudding, fluffy whipped topping, and crunchy toffee bits. Perfect for holidays, potlucks, or chocolate cravings—it’s as easy to make as it is to love.

Ingredients

1 (9×13-inch) chocolate cake, baked and cooled

2 (3.9 oz) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix

4 cups cold milk

1 (16 oz) container whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

1 cup toffee bits (Heath or Skor)

Optional chocolate shavings or extra toffee bits for garnish

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix with the cold milk until thickened. Chill for 10 minutes.

2. Cut the cooled chocolate cake into bite-sized cubes.

3. In a trifle bowl, layer one-third of the cake cubes. Add a layer of pudding, then a layer of whipped topping. Sprinkle with toffee bits.

4. Repeat the layers two more times.

5. Garnish the top with extra toffee bits and optional chocolate shavings.

6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Use fully cooled cake to prevent soggy layers.

Chill longer for even better texture and flavor.

Homemade whipped cream can be used in place of Cool Whip.
