Description
This Classic Chicken Caesar Salad features grilled chicken breast over crisp romaine lettuce, crunchy croutons, and Parmesan cheese, all tossed in creamy Caesar dressing. A satisfying, quick meal that’s perfect for lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup croutons
Caesar dressing
Optional: fresh lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
1. Rub chicken breasts with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Grill or pan-sear for 6–7 minutes per side, until internal temp reaches 165°F. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice.
2. Wash and chop romaine lettuce. Pat dry. If making homemade croutons, toast bread cubes in a skillet with olive oil until golden.
3. In a large bowl, combine lettuce, sliced chicken, croutons, and Parmesan.
4. Drizzle with Caesar dressing just before serving and toss gently. Add lemon wedges if desired.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
If using pre-cooked chicken, warm it slightly before slicing.
Add anchovies or capers for extra umami depth.
