Description
Classic Christmas Raspberry Jam is a festive, fruity spread bursting with fresh raspberry flavor, a hint of lemon, and a touch of holiday spice. Perfect for gifting, topping toast, or elevating your holiday desserts.
Ingredients
6 cups raspberries
5 cups granulated sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 pouch liquid fruit pectin (3 oz)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
1. Rinse and mash the raspberries (thaw first if using frozen).
2. Combine raspberries and lemon juice in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a gentle boil, stirring often.
3. Gradually add sugar and return to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.
4. Stir in pectin and continue boiling for 2–3 more minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Add vanilla and cinnamon if using. Stir to blend.
6. Ladle jam into sterilized jars, leaving 1/4 inch headspace. Wipe rims, seal, and process in a water bath for 10 minutes. Or cool and refrigerate if not canning.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen raspberries depending on the season.
The vanilla and cinnamon add a cozy holiday flavor but are optional.
For longer shelf life, follow proper water bath canning procedures.
