1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3/4 cup buttermilk
1 cup lump crab meat, drained and picked over
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1 tablespoon chopped green onion
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, garlic powder, salt, and cayenne.
3. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in cheddar. Add buttermilk and mix gently.
4. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment.
5. Flatten 2 tbsp of dough, place 1 tsp crab filling in center, fold and seal. Place seam-side down.
6. Repeat and bake for 13–15 minutes until golden.
7. Optional: Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with parsley.
Notes
Use freshly shredded cheddar for better melt and flavor.
Don’t overmix the dough to keep biscuits tender.
For extra flair, add a sprinkle of parmesan on top before baking.
