Ingredients
8 oz bowtie pasta
2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook bowtie pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Slice chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and season with Cajun seasoning.
3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
5. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux.
6. Gradually pour in milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly until smooth and thick.
7. Add shredded cheddar and parmesan cheese. Stir until melted and creamy. Season with salt and pepper.
8. Return chicken to the skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss everything together to coat.
9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
