Ingredients
12 oz penne pasta
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
3 cups fresh spinach
4 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp butter
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add ground beef and sausage. Cook until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
2. Push meat to one side. Add butter and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
3. Pour in heavy cream. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer to thicken slightly.
4. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Add fresh spinach and let it wilt, stirring gently.
5. Meanwhile, cook penne pasta in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.
6. Add cooked pasta to skillet. Toss everything together. Add pasta water if needed to loosen sauce.
7. Season with salt and black pepper. Serve hot, optionally with extra Parmesan on top.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the creamiest sauce.
Don’t skip draining the meat to avoid greasy texture.
Add chili flakes or mushrooms for an extra flavor twist.
