Ingredients

12 oz penne pasta

1 lb ground beef

8 oz Velveeta cheese, cubed

1 cup heavy cream

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder

1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne and cook until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

3. Season the beef with garlic powder, onion powder, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

4. Lower the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to incorporate with the beef.

5. Gradually add Velveeta cheese cubes, stirring constantly until the sauce is creamy and fully melted.

6. Add the cooked penne to the skillet and fold gently until the pasta is fully coated.

7. Let everything simmer for 2–3 minutes to marry the flavors.

8. Serve hot with optional garnish of chopped parsley or extra Cajun spice.

Notes

This recipe serves 4–5 depending on portions.

For extra heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or hot sauce.

Use half-and-half instead of cream for a lighter version.
