Description
Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, these air fryer French fries are the perfect healthier take on a classic favorite. Easy to make, endlessly customizable, and ready in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients
3 large Russet potatoes
1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper (optional)
Instructions
1. Peel the potatoes (or leave the skin on) and cut them into 1/4-inch thick sticks.
2. Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.
3. Drain and pat the potatoes dry completely.
4. Toss the potatoes with olive oil, salt, and any optional seasonings.
5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
6. Place the fries in a single layer in the basket. Cook in batches if needed.
7. Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
8. Remove and serve hot. Add extra salt or toppings as desired.
Notes
Soaking the potatoes helps make them extra crispy—don’t skip this step!
Don’t overcrowd the basket—air circulation is key to crispiness.
Reheat leftovers in the air fryer to bring back the crunch.
