A hearty Deep Hamburger Sausage & Pepperoni Pie packed with ground beef, spicy sausage, melty cheese, and crispy pepperoni in a golden flaky crust. The perfect savory pie recipe for dinner, game day, or any comfort food craving.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb Italian sausage
1/2 cup pepperoni slices
1 yellow onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 cup crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 egg, beaten
1 deep-dish pie crust
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, cook ground beef and sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes until soft and fragrant.
3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat to cool slightly.
4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Press the pie crust into a deep pie dish.
5. Spoon half of the meat mixture into the crust, then sprinkle a layer of mozzarella. Repeat with the remaining meat and cheese.
6. Top with grated Parmesan and layer pepperoni slices on the surface.
7. Brush the crust edges with beaten egg for a golden finish.
8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
This pie can be made ahead and reheated.
Blind bake the crust for a crispier bottom.
