Description
Enjoy smoky, cheesy Easy Campfire Nachos — the perfect camping appetizer or outdoor meal. With crunchy tortilla chips, melty cheese, fresh toppings, and a hint of campfire magic, this crowd-pleaser is easy to make and irresistibly good.
Ingredients
4 cups tortilla chips
2 cups shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese blend
1 cup black beans
1 cup chopped tomatoes
2 jalapeños thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare your cooking area: Get the campfire going, let it burn to glowing embers, and place a grill grate or stable surface for your pan.
2. Layer the chips and toppings: In a pan, layer chips, cheese, beans, tomatoes, jalapeños, and green onions. Repeat layers, ending with cheese.
3. Cook the nachos: Cover with foil and cook over campfire about 10 minutes until cheese melts and bubbles.
4. Garnish and serve: Remove from fire, top with cilantro and dollops of sour cream if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use thick-cut chips to avoid sogginess.
Monitor heat to prevent burning.
Best enjoyed fresh while warm.
