Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon sesame oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon gochujang or sriracha (optional)
Cooked white rice, for serving
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, red pepper flakes, and rice vinegar. Add gochujang or sriracha if using.
3. Pour the sauce over the beef. Simmer over medium heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring often.
4. Add green onions and sesame seeds. Stir and cook for 1 more minute.
5. Serve hot over rice or in lettuce wraps, garnished with extra green onions and sesame seeds.
