These Easy Homemade Beefy Melt Burritos are packed with seasoned beef, creamy nacho cheese, and shredded Mexican cheese all wrapped up in warm flour tortillas. Perfect for quick dinners or freezer meal prep.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning mix
1/4 cup water
1 cup nacho cheese sauce
1 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
1 cup cooked rice (optional)
4 large flour tortillas
1/2 cup sour cream (optional)
1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess grease.
2. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Simmer for about 5 minutes until thickened.
3. Warm the tortillas slightly in a skillet or microwave for easier folding.
4. Lay a tortilla flat, add cooked rice (if using), a scoop of beef, drizzle with nacho cheese, and sprinkle shredded cheese.
5. Fold in the sides and roll the tortilla tightly into a burrito.
6. Toast each burrito in a dry skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
7. Garnish with sour cream and green onions if desired. Serve hot.
Notes
Use large tortillas to prevent tearing.
