Ingredients
3 large egg whites
1 cup granulated sugar
1 package (3 oz) jello powder (any flavor)
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 200°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a clean, dry bowl, beat the egg whites with cream of tartar and salt on medium speed until foamy.
3. Gradually add granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while increasing to high speed. Continue beating until stiff, glossy peaks form.
4. Add the jello powder and vanilla extract. Beat until well combined and vibrantly colored.
5. Spoon or pipe meringue onto the baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
6. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours or until dry to the touch. Turn off oven and cool inside with door ajar.
