Description

Fresh Pico de Gallo recipe perfect for Cinco de Mayo, tacos, and dips. This easy homemade salsa combines tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lime, and jalapeño for a vibrant Mexican side.


Ingredients

4 ripe Roma tomatoes

0.5 medium onion

1 jalapeño pepper

0.25 cup fresh cilantro leaves

1 lime (juiced)

0.25 teaspoon salt (or to taste)


Instructions

1. Dice the ripe Roma tomatoes into small, even pieces.

2. Finely chop the onion and rinse under cold water to mellow its bite.

3. Mince the jalapeño, removing seeds for milder heat.

4. Roughly chop the fresh cilantro leaves.

5. Combine all ingredients in a bowl, squeeze in lime juice, sprinkle with salt, and toss. Let sit for a few minutes before serving.
