Ingredients
450g sirloin steak
2 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
300g shell pasta
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Cut steak into bite-sized pieces, pat dry, and season with salt and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak bites in batches until browned on all sides, about 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
3. Lower heat to medium, add butter, and stir in garlic. Cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Return steak to skillet and toss in garlic butter. Turn off heat.
4. Cook shell pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
5. In the same pot, heat heavy cream and butter over medium heat. Stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Add cooked shells to the cheese sauce and stir to coat.
7. Serve steak bites on the side or on top of the Alfredo shells. Enjoy hot.
Notes
Pat steak dry before searing for a good crust.
Do not boil the Alfredo sauce after adding cheese to prevent splitting.
Reheat with a splash of cream or water for best texture.
