Ghostly Lasagna is a fun and flavorful Halloween-themed dish that transforms classic lasagna into a spooky delight. With creamy ricotta, meaty marinara, and mozzarella ghosts on top, it’s perfect for festive gatherings or a family dinner surprise.
Ingredients
12 lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
0.5 lb Italian sausage
24 oz marinara sauce
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
0.5 tsp Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
15 oz ricotta cheese
1 egg
0.33 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
6 slices mozzarella cheese (cut into ghost shapes)
12 black olive slices
Instructions
1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sautée onion and garlic until fragrant.
2. Add ground beef and sausage, cook until browned, then drain.
3. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer 10 minutes. Season to taste.
4. In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, and Parmesan until creamy.
5. In a greased 9×13 dish, add a layer of meat sauce, then noodles, then half the ricotta, and some shredded mozzarella. Repeat layers.
6. Top with a final noodle and meat sauce layer. Add ghost-shaped mozzarella slices and black olive eyes.
7. Cover with foil and bake at 375°F for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 10–15 minutes more.
8. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
