Description
These homemade cheesy garlic breadsticks are soft, buttery, and layered with golden melted cheese. Perfect for dipping or serving with pasta, they’re a cozy addition to any meal and come together quickly with minimal ingredients.
Ingredients
1 pound pizza dough
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon dried Italian herbs (optional)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Pinch of salt
Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Let the dough rest at room temperature for 20–30 minutes if using store-bought.
2. Roll dough into a 9×13 inch rectangle on a floured surface. Transfer to baking sheet.
3. Mix melted butter with minced garlic, garlic powder, and herbs. Brush mixture over the dough.
4. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over dough. Add a light pinch of salt.
5. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
6. Cool slightly, then slice into breadsticks. Serve warm with optional marinara.
Notes
Use fresh garlic for the best flavor, but jarred works in a pinch.
Let the dough fully rest to prevent shrinking during rolling.
Reheat in the oven, not microwave, to preserve texture.
