Description

Tender chicken breasts coated in a glossy honey garlic sauce that’s the perfect mix of sweet, savory, and garlicky. A quick weeknight dinner that tastes like a restaurant favorite and comes together in under 30 minutes.


Ingredients

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 tablespoon water

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Chopped green onions, for garnish


Instructions

1. Slice each chicken breast horizontally to create four thinner cutlets. Pound evenly if needed.

2. Season with salt and pepper. Lightly dredge in flour for a golden crust (optional).

3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

4. In the same skillet, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, and water. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

5. Return the chicken to the pan, spoon the sauce over each piece, and cook for another minute.

6. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra sauce, double the ingredients for the honey garlic glaze.

Don’t overcook the chicken—slice thin and sear quickly for juiciness.

Use tamari and skip the flour for a gluten-free version.
