Description
This Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli is a quick and flavorful dinner made with lean beef, crisp broccoli, and a sticky-sweet garlic sauce. It’s perfect over rice, noodles, or in lettuce wraps, and comes together in just 30 minutes with one pan.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
3 cups broccoli florets
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
Cooked rice, for serving
Sesame seeds and sliced green onions, for garnish
Instructions
1. Brown the beef in a skillet over medium-high heat, breaking it up and cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
2. Push beef to one side and sauté garlic in sesame oil for 30 seconds, then mix together.
3. Add broccoli and a splash of water. Cover and steam 3–4 minutes.
4. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, vinegar, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Pour into skillet and stir to coat.
5. Stir in cornstarch slurry, cook 2–3 minutes until thickened. Serve hot over rice, garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
Notes
Use fresh or frozen broccoli—just steam frozen first and drain well.
Add more red pepper flakes or sriracha for a spicier kick.
Great for meal prep—store in containers with rice for ready-to-go lunches.
