A quick and flavorful Korean-inspired dinner with sweet and savory ground beef over rice, ready in under 30 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights and meal prepping.
Ingredients
1 lb lean ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
2 cups cooked white rice
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions
1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until fully browned, about 5–6 minutes. Break it up as it cooks.
2. Drain excess fat if needed, then stir in the minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and ground ginger. Stir to combine. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
4. Serve the beef mixture over cooked white rice.
5. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot.
Notes
Swap white rice for cauliflower rice to make it low-carb.
Add a fried egg on top for extra richness and protein.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze up to 2 months.
