Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz linguine pasta
3 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook linguine until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water and drain the rest.
2. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil over medium-high heat until golden and fully cooked. Set aside.
3. In the same pan, melt butter and add minced garlic. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, red pepper flakes, and a splash of pasta water.
4. Add linguine to the pan, toss in grated parmesan, and stir until creamy.
5. Return chicken to the pan and coat well with the sauce.
6. Top with chopped parsley and extra parmesan. Serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly squeezed lemon juice to avoid bitterness.
Add pasta water gradually for better control of sauce texture.
For a spicier kick, increase red pepper flakes.
