Description

These Mashed Potato Cheese Puffs are the ultimate cheesy potato appetizer! Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, they make a great use of leftover mashed potatoes. A must-try comfort food that’s easy, freezer-friendly, and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups mashed potatoes

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 large egg

¼ cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons chopped chives

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon black pepper

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Butter or cooking spray for greasing

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, flour, chives, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until fully combined.

2. Scoop the mixture into small balls or use a mini muffin tin for shaping.

3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease your baking sheet or muffin tin.

4. Arrange the puffs evenly and bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and crisp.

5. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving warm.

Notes

Use thick mashed potatoes to help the puffs hold shape.

Feel free to add extras like cooked bacon bits or green onions.

Taste the mix before baking to adjust seasoning.
