Description
One-Pan Creamy Sweet and Spicy Cajun Chicken Pasta is a bold and comforting dinner packed with creamy sauce, spicy Cajun seasoning, and tender chicken—all cooked in one skillet. Perfect for quick weeknight meals, it’s a flavorful, easy-to-make chicken pasta dish with a sweet twist.
Ingredients
1 lb chicken breast
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, diced
8 oz penne pasta
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp honey
Salt and pepper to taste
2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Season chicken breast with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet and sear chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, sauté garlic and red bell pepper until softened and fragrant.
3. Add dry pasta and pour in chicken broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked and most liquid is absorbed.
4. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese to form a creamy sauce. Add honey, and season with salt and pepper.
5. Slice cooked chicken and return it to the skillet. Stir to coat in sauce.
6. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
Notes
Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
Add a splash of cream when reheating leftovers to revive texture.
Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste for milder or bolder heat.
