Ingredients
12 oz dark chocolate (semi-sweet or bittersweet)
12 oz white chocolate
½ tsp peppermint extract (optional)
½ cup crushed peppermint candies or candy canes
Instructions
- Melt the Dark Chocolate – Chop the dark chocolate into small pieces and melt using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth. If using peppermint extract, mix it in.
- Spread the Dark Chocolate Layer – Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the melted dark chocolate onto the sheet and spread evenly. Chill in the fridge for 15-20 minutes until firm.
- Melt the White Chocolate – Melt the white chocolate in the same way, stirring frequently to prevent burning.
- Spread the White Chocolate Layer – Pour the melted white chocolate over the firm dark chocolate and spread evenly.
- Add Crushed Peppermint – Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candies over the white chocolate before it hardens, pressing them down slightly.
- Chill and Break into Pieces – Refrigerate for about 30 minutes until fully set. Once hardened, break into bite-sized pieces and enjoy!
