Description

This Roasted Asparagus Recipe is a quick, healthy side dish that complements any meal. With crisp tips and tender stalks, it’s easy to make with olive oil, salt, and lemon. Perfect for weeknights or holidays. Includes simple seasoning and oven roasting tips.

Ingredients

1 bunch asparagus

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

1. Trim the woody ends off the bottom of each asparagus stalk. Rinse and pat dry.

2. Preheat your oven to 425°F.

3. Place asparagus on a baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Toss to coat evenly.

4. Spread asparagus in a single layer on the baking sheet.

5. Roast for 12 to 15 minutes, until tender with lightly crisped tips.

6. Optional: squeeze fresh lemon juice over asparagus before serving.

7. Serve immediately while hot and crisp.

Notes

Make sure asparagus is dry before roasting for better crisp.

Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet to ensure roasting not steaming.

Adjust seasoning to taste and try topping with parmesan or red chili flakes.
