Description

These Rotel Cream Cheese Sausage Balls are a zesty, cheesy, and savory appetizer perfect for parties, holidays, or meal prep. Made with spicy sausage, creamy cheese, and the bold flavor of Rotel tomatoes, they’re a hit served warm or cold.

Ingredients

1 pound spicy pork sausage (uncooked)

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained well

1 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix

1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, combine raw sausage, softened cream cheese, and drained Rotel until well mixed.

3. Stir in Bisquick and cheddar cheese until fully incorporated.

4. Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheet.

5. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and cooked through.

6. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Make sure to drain Rotel very well to prevent soggy dough.

You can chill the dough before baking to help the balls hold their shape.

Pepper Jack cheese adds a spicy kick if you want to switch up the flavor.
