Ingredients
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls (8 oz)
0.5 pound breakfast sausage
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
Salt and black pepper to taste
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Unroll the crescent dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press seams together to form a rectangle and build up edges slightly.
2. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden.
3. In a skillet, cook sausage over medium heat until browned. Sprinkle in flour and stir well.
4. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly, and let simmer for 3-5 minutes until thick. Season with salt and pepper.
