Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

1 can (15 oz) white beans, drained and rinsed

1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

1/2 cup frozen peas

1 small onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Sauté the Aromatics: Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil. Cook the diced onion until soft and translucent, about 3 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
  2. Brown the Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5–7 minutes. Drain any excess grease if needed.
  3. Season and Simmer: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, paprika, salt, black pepper, and dried oregano. Mix well, then pour in the tomato sauce. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the Beans and Peas: Gently fold in the drained white beans and frozen peas. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through.
  5. Serve and Enjoy: Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Serve hot as is or over rice, mashed potatoes, or with crusty bread.
