Description
Tender chicken slow-cooked in a rich and creamy gravy, made with ranch seasoning, cream of chicken soup, and a touch of sour cream. Perfect over mashed potatoes, rice, or biscuits, this is the ultimate comfort food with minimal prep.
Ingredients
2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 (1 oz) packet chicken gravy mix
1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
0.5 cup sour cream
0.5 cup water
Fresh ground black pepper, to taste
Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
1. Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
2. In a bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup, gravy mix, ranch seasoning, sour cream, and water until smooth.
3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours until chicken is tender.
5. Shred the chicken with two forks in the slow cooker and stir into the gravy.
6. Season with black pepper and garnish with parsley if desired.
7. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, noodles, or biscuits.
Notes
Use chicken thighs if you prefer richer, darker meat.
Make it lighter by substituting Greek yogurt for sour cream.
Pairs well with green beans, roasted vegetables, or a fresh side salad.
