This spicy garlic chicken tortellini in cheesy Alfredo cream recipe is a rich, creamy pasta dish that combines bold flavors, tender chicken, and cheese-filled tortellini. Perfect for weeknight dinners or entertaining, it’s a comforting recipe with a touch of spice and a garlic Parmesan sauce that clings to every bite.
Ingredients
2 cups cheese tortellini
2 chicken breasts, diced
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season diced chicken with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Sear until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, reduce heat and melt butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
3. Pour in heavy cream and simmer gently, stirring often.
4. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
5. Meanwhile, boil tortellini as per package directions. Drain, reserving some pasta water.
6. Add chicken back to the skillet, followed by cooked tortellini. Toss to coat evenly. Use pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
Notes
Let the garlic simmer gently to avoid bitterness.
Don’t overcook the tortellini; it should be tender, not mushy.
Use reserved pasta water to control sauce consistency.
