Description

This Strawberry Pop Tart Pie is a nostalgic twist on the beloved toaster pastry—reimagined into a buttery, jam-filled pie with a sweet glaze and cheerful sprinkles. Perfect for parties, brunch, or as a dessert that doubles as breakfast.


Ingredients

2 pie crusts

0.75 cup strawberry jam or preserves

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon water

1 egg

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 drop red or pink food coloring

Rainbow sprinkles


Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix strawberry jam, cornstarch, and water until smooth. Set aside.

2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out one pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish.

3. Spread jam mixture evenly over the bottom crust, leaving a small edge.

4. Place second crust on top and press edges to seal. Crimp with a fork.

5. Whisk the egg and brush it over the top crust. Poke a few holes to allow steam to escape.

6. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.

7. Mix powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, and food coloring until smooth.

8. Spread glaze on the cooled pie and decorate with sprinkles.

Notes

Let the pie cool completely before adding glaze to avoid melting.

For a crisper crust, reheat leftovers in a toaster oven.

You can shape this in a rectangle to mimic a giant Pop Tart if you don’t have a pie dish.
