Description

These Thick and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies are buttery, rich, and loaded with nutty flavor. Soft in the middle with just the right amount of chew, they’re a classic treat that’s perfect for any cookie lover.


Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

1. In a large bowl, cream together the peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

2. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.

5. Cover and chill the dough for at least 1 hour to help flavors meld and improve texture.

6. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop dough into balls (2 tablespoons each), place on a baking sheet, and press lightly with a fork.

7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set and centers are still soft.

8. Let cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Always chill the dough to avoid over-spreading.

For extra richness, use dark brown sugar instead of light.

Add chocolate chips or chopped peanuts for a twist.
