Description
A golden-baked roll filled with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese, this dish delivers the perfect mix of comfort and flavor. Ideal for family dinners, party platters, or a hearty weekday meal.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 can refrigerated pizza dough (or crescent roll sheet)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 egg, beaten
Sesame seeds for topping (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease and stir in garlic powder, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Let it cool slightly.
2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out pizza dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet into a large rectangle. Spread Dijon mustard evenly.
3. Add beef mixture, then sprinkle with cheddar and mozzarella cheese, leaving a 1-inch border around the edge.
4. Roll the dough from the long side into a tight log, tucking in the ends. Place seam-side down and brush with beaten egg. Add sesame seeds if using.
5. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
Notes
Let the beef cool before adding to dough to prevent sogginess.
You can prep the roll ahead and refrigerate before baking.
