These Valentine’s Day Muddy Buddies are a sweet, crunchy snack mix coated in pink-tinted white chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Perfect for sharing during romantic celebrations, school parties, or just because.
Ingredients
6 cups Rice Chex cereal
1 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Red or pink food coloring (gel preferred)
1/2 cup mini M&M’s or candy-coated chocolates
1/4 cup Valentine-themed sprinkles
Instructions
1. Place the Rice Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and set a parchment-lined baking sheet aside.
2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
3. Stir in the vanilla extract and add food coloring until the desired pink color is reached.
4. Pour the mixture over the cereal and stir gently to coat evenly.
5. Transfer cereal to a large zip-top bag, add powdered sugar, seal, and shake until fully coated.
6. Spread onto the lined baking sheet and let cool.
7. Once set, mix in mini M&M’s and sprinkles before serving.
Notes
Make sure the melted mixture isn’t too hot before pouring over the cereal.
Use gel food coloring for bolder color without watering down the coating.
Wait until cooled to add candies so they don’t melt or bleed color.
