Description
This Viral Egg Sandwich Muffin is the ultimate grab-and-go breakfast that went viral for all the right reasons. Toasty, cheesy, eggy, and customizable, it delivers comfort and convenience in one satisfying bite.
Ingredients
1 English muffin, split and toasted
1 large egg
1 tablespoon milk or water
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 slice American or cheddar cheese
1 slice cooked bacon or sausage patty
Butter or oil, for greasing the pan
Instructions
1. Crack the egg into a small bowl, add milk or water, season with salt and pepper, and whisk until frothy.
2. Grease a skillet and pour in the egg. Dip the English muffin halves cut-side down into the uncooked egg. Flip them back up and cook until the egg sets.
3. Fold the cooked egg into a square shape. Place the cheese slice on top, then add the cooked bacon or sausage.
4. Stack the muffin halves together, press gently, and flip the sandwich to toast both sides until golden.
5. Serve hot with your choice of sauce or syrup.
Notes
Toast the muffin before adding fillings to avoid sogginess.
You can substitute the meat with a veggie patty for a vegetarian version.
Wrap tightly and freeze for up to a month for easy reheating.
