Description

This warm baked brie wrapped in puff pastry is topped with chopped figs, toasted pecans, and honey for an elegant yet simple appetizer. It’s a cozy crowd-pleaser perfect for holiday tables or casual get-togethers.


Ingredients

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 wheel brie cheese (8 oz)

1/3 cup dried figs, chopped

1/3 cup pecans, roughly chopped

2 tablespoons honey

1 egg, beaten

1 pinch flaky sea salt


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Place the brie wheel in the center of the puff pastry.

3. Mix chopped figs, pecans, and honey in a small bowl. Spoon onto the brie.

4. Fold the puff pastry over the brie to wrap it completely. Trim any excess and seal the edges.

5. Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until the pastry is deeply golden and crisp.

7. Let rest 5–10 minutes, then drizzle with more honey and a pinch of flaky salt.

8. Serve with crackers, apple slices, or crusty bread.

Notes

Use all-butter puff pastry for the flakiest, most flavorful crust.

Don’t skip the resting time—it helps the cheese set slightly and makes slicing easier.

Maple syrup is a great substitute if you’re out of honey.
