Description

Cajun Steak Tips in Cheesy Penne Parmesan Sauce is a creamy pasta dish loaded with seared sirloin steak tips, bold Cajun flavor, and rich Parmesan sauce. This easy steak pasta recipe makes a hearty, comforting meal perfect for weeknights or special dinners.

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak tips

10 oz penne pasta

1 ½ tbsp Cajun seasoning

1 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp butter

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Toss steak tips with Cajun seasoning and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned. Set aside.

2. In a large pot, boil penne pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

3. In the same skillet used for the steak, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese and cook until sauce thickens slightly.

5. Season with salt and pepper. Add the cooked pasta and a splash of reserved pasta water. Toss to coat evenly.

6. Return steak tips to the skillet and stir to combine everything in the sauce. Heat through.

7. Serve hot with additional Parmesan or parsley if desired.

Notes

Rest the steak tips before adding to pasta to keep them juicy.

Use freshly grated Parmesan for the creamiest sauce.

Reserve pasta water to adjust sauce consistency.
