Description

Cheesy Baked Spinach Artichoke Dip is a warm, creamy appetizer made with spinach, artichokes, cream cheese, sour cream, and plenty of melted mozzarella and Parmesan. It bakes up bubbly and golden, making it perfect for parties, holidays, game day, or any time you want an easy crowd-pleasing snack.

Ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup mayonnaise

2 cups frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

1 can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

crackers, tortilla chips, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a small baking dish or pie plate.

2. In a large bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.

3. Fold in the spinach and chopped artichoke hearts.

4. Stir in 1 1/2 cups mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.

5. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella.

6. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden.

7. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes, then serve warm with your favorite dippers.

Notes

Squeeze the spinach very well so the dip stays thick and creamy.

Let the cream cheese soften before mixing for the smoothest texture.

For a more golden top, broil for 1 to 2 minutes at the end while watching closely.
