Copycat Cracker Barrel Meatloaf

  • Yield: 6 servings

Description

A moist and savory meatloaf packed with cheddar cheese, buttery Ritz crackers, and a tangy-sweet ketchup glaze—just like the Cracker Barrel classic. Perfect for cozy weeknight dinners or family-style Sunday meals.

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 30), crushed

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup milk

2 eggs, beaten

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon yellow mustard

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan or line with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, crushed crackers, cheddar cheese, onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until just combined.

3. Shape the mixture into a loaf in the pan.

4. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard for the topping. Spread over the loaf.

5. Bake uncovered for 55–65 minutes, until internal temperature reaches 160°F.

6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Do not overmix the meat mixture to avoid a dense texture.

Let the meatloaf rest after baking for easier slicing.

You can use ground turkey for a lighter version.
