Description
Crockpot Meatballs & Gravy is a cozy, no-fuss comfort food dinner made with tender meatballs simmered in a rich, savory gravy. It is perfect for busy weeknights, family meals, or casual gatherings, especially when served over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice.
Ingredients
2 pounds frozen homestyle meatballs
2 packets brown gravy mix
1 packet onion soup mix
2 cups beef broth
1 can 10.5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons cold water
Fresh parsley for garnish, optional
Mashed potatoes, egg noodles, or rice for serving, optional
Instructions
1. Place the frozen meatballs in the crockpot in an even layer.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper until mostly smooth.
3. Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs and gently stir to coat.
4. Cover and cook on low for 4 to 6 hours or on high for 2 to 3 hours, until the meatballs are hot and tender.
5. If you want a thicker gravy, mix the cornstarch and cold water in a small bowl. Stir it into the crockpot during the last 20 to 30 minutes of cooking.
6. Stir gently once more, garnish with parsley if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Use homestyle or beef meatballs for the best texture and flavor in this gravy.
For a smoother sauce, whisk the gravy mixture very well before pouring it over the meatballs.
If the gravy thickens too much after storing, stir in a splash of beef broth while reheating.
