Description

Easy Maple Glazed Carrots are tender, buttery, and coated in a rich maple glaze that brings out their natural sweetness. This simple side dish is perfect for weeknight dinners, holiday meals, or anytime you want an easy vegetable recipe that tastes warm, cozy, and a little special.


Ingredients

1 pound carrots, peeled and sliced into rounds

2 tablespoons butter

3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons water

1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

1. Peel the carrots and slice them into even rounds.

2. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, salt, black pepper, cinnamon, and water.

3. Stir until the butter melts and the glaze mixture is smooth.

4. Add the sliced carrots and toss to coat them well.

5. Cover and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring once or twice, until the carrots begin to soften.

6. Remove the lid and continue cooking for 4 to 6 minutes, stirring often, until the glaze thickens and coats the carrots.

7. Remove from the heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Slice the carrots evenly so they cook at the same rate.

Use pure maple syrup for the best flavor and a smoother glaze.

Add a small splash of water while reheating leftovers if the glaze becomes too thick.
