Description

Loaded Chicken Avocado Sandwich is a fresh and satisfying meal layered with tender chicken, creamy avocado, crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, smoky bacon, cheddar cheese, and a flavorful spread, all tucked between golden toasted sourdough for a sandwich that feels hearty, balanced, and incredibly easy to love.


Ingredients

2 slices sourdough bread

1 cooked chicken breast, sliced or shredded

1/2 ripe avocado, sliced or lightly mashed

2 slices cheddar cheese

2 leaves romaine lettuce

2 slices tomato

2 slices red onion

2 slices cooked bacon

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1 teaspoon lemon juice

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon butter


Instructions

1. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

2. Slice or mash the avocado and prepare the lettuce, tomato, onion, and bacon.

3. Warm the cooked chicken slightly if needed.

4. Butter the bread and toast it in a skillet until golden.

5. Spread the sauce on the inside of both bread slices.

6. Layer the lettuce, chicken, cheddar cheese, avocado, tomato, red onion, and bacon on one slice.

7. Top with the second slice of bread, press gently, slice, and serve right away.

Notes

Toasting the bread helps the sandwich hold up better against the creamy avocado and juicy tomato.

Slice the avocado just before assembling to keep it looking fresh and green.

For extra flavor, use grilled chicken or rotisserie chicken and add a pinch of chili flakes to the spread.
